OSCAR A. AGUIRRE MD, FACOG (Director)

Dr. Aguirre received his Doctor of Medicine from the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center, and completed a residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Kansas School of Medicine, serving as Administrative Chief Resident in his final year. He received fellowship training in Urogynecology and Reconstructive Pelvic Surgery at Colorado Gynecology and Continence Center under the tutelage of G. Willy Davila MD, currently Head of Urogynecology at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation Florida. Immediately following his fellowship he assumed directorship of Urogynecology Associates of Colorado. In 2006, he established Pelvic Specialty Care. He enjoys his academic position as Clinical Instructor in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center. He is a member of the American Urogynecologic Society, the International Urogynecological Association, and the American Medical Association.

Dr. Aguirre has an interest in the surgical and non-surgical treatment of urinary incontinence and pelvic organ prolapse. He is active in clinical research, having served as Principal Investigator or Subinvestigator in over 25 clinical trials.


MARCI KLAASSEN, NP

Marci Klaassen obtained her Bachelor and Master of Science in Nursing with a graduate specialty in obstetrics and gynecology from the University of Pennsylvania. She worked as a nurse practitioner in obstetrics and gynecology for four years before further specializing in urogynecology. She is certified by the National Certification Corporation as a Women's Health Care Nurse Practitioner and is a member of the Society of Urologic Nurses and Associates. She has an interest in the non-surgical management of urinary problems, pelvic organ prolapse, and bladder sensitivity disorders as well as diagnostic procedures in urogynecology. She serves as a subinvestigator in multiple clinical research trials.
